AAHH! first of all, totally a different feel then I was expecting. I loved it so much though. This movie was very fun and quirky but also had very dark moments (which shocked me.)
Let’s talk about characters… Newt is honestly my favourite character of all time, because he has so much CHARACTER. He is so humble, quiet, awkward, but brave. He is so unique and stays true to who he is and get’s the job done. I love his smile so much as well… kind of fan-girling (is that a word?) here. Second of all, I basically jumped up in joy in the theatre when I saw Johnny Depp’s face on that screen. Just with a few small moments on screen, he captured his character so well. I was sold.
Even though the movie got really dark at the end there, it was so good. They really caught my heart with the character of Credence, he was just a boy who was hurting and wasn’t able to get saved.
Those are my thoughts for now. I will probably add some more soon.
P.s- sorry for not being on here in like months, getting used to the first year of college here XD
I really love the feel of this book but I kind of got the impression it was a little rushed, and I just felt a little more distant from the main character than I did in the vampire academy. Honestly Rose felt like a life long friend but it’s probably because there was a whole series to get to know Rose, not just one book. But anyway, I love the character of Adelaide. She’s strong, driven, and smart. And also sometimes sassy- I love sassy-ness. What are your thoughts?
Isn’t it all so pretty….
So my boyfriend happened to surprise me with ALL THESE BOOKS best day everrrr.
Sorry I haven’t been posting on “the glittering court” lately I’ve been super busy. And now I have even more to review! So stay tuned! I will be reading a lot!!! 😀 have you read any of these books yet??
You only know what I want you to
I know everything you don’t want me to
Oh your mouth is poison, your mouth is wine
You think your dreams are the same as mine
These lyrics remind me of how Clarke and Bellamy know everything about each other- even things they don’t want them to know. They know each others dirty little secrets like what horrible things they’ve done to save their people, yet they still come back to each other.
Your mouth is poison, your mouth is wine… Makes me think of how adrian’s lips are like wine to Sydney, but she see’s them as poison (in the earlier books at least) since he is a vampire; the creature her kind is horrified by.
Almost in 200 pages! Woo! I’m really enjoying it so far. But I have recently discovered something interesting… I am totally starting to ship Cristina and Mark! I am convinced that Cassandra Clare is foreshadowing their soon to be relationship… Here is a little snippet that caused me to think this;
